Yes, today I received a phone call from the one and only Mr. R.K. Sharma. I had faxed him with a smattering of questions regarding the particulars of sending in my visa application by mail after having had no success in reaching a real human being on the phone at the consulate.
I was quite impressed that he phoned me and doubly impressed by his friendly, courteous, polite and obliging manner. I would like to think that I am beginning to master the art of Indian beaurocrazy. I would like to think that his prompt and courteous response was due to my exceptionally well written fax with the sacrine sweet wording from yesterday .... or maybe it was just because he had had a really good meatball sub again.... who knows.
So I thank you, Mr. Sharma, for all your help and guidance in my process.
I would also like to send a big big thank you out to my good friend Rob who has bestowed upon me one of the greatest gifts ever: a camera, so I may have the technology to share pictures of this journey...... and for those of you who know me, i don't take pictures.... so this is huge. You can all thank him later.
Pictures
